Grandma and Grandpa and Girls!

Last day of Grandma and Grandpa's visit...Thanks for all the help with the kids, cooking, and house projects while you were here.  We can't thank you enough!  We'll miss you!

Addie's one week old

Addie turned one week old, and already seems to be growing like a weed.  In fact, she was back up to her birth weight by 4 days old.  We decided to celebrate Addie's arrival, as well as an early birthday for Emma while Grandma and Grandpa were still in town.  Emma didn't seem to mind getting early birthday gifts or partaking in some early birthday cupcakes!

Hollywood Bowl

Family fun at our neighborhood bowling alley.  Emma did quite well for her first time at a real bowling alley.  She did toss a couple of the balls down the lane overhand...but other than that, she looked like a natural bowler.  I think I'm going to request the bumpers for me next time too, as it's much more fun when the pins actually get knocked down!

Card Shark

Emma became quite the card shark during Grandma and Grandpa's visit.  She played SEVERAL games of UNO, Slap Jack, Old Maid, and Go Fish.  Turns out she is either pretty lucky, or quite a good card player too!

Addie's not so much into card games...and prefers to spend her time napping in her crib!

Day 1

Addie still wide awake on the morning of day one.  She is proving to be fairly similar to her sister, in that she stayed up most of last night eating and cuddling. I thank her for wanting to do most of her growing outside of the womb though!  We did take advantage of her alertness, and conducted her first photo shoot, including the first family photo.  We went home from the hospital this afternoon, starting the process of getting used to having a baby in the house again.

Meeting the family

Addie met her big sister, Emma and Grandma and Grandpa Thier a few hours after she was born.  We think she was just holding out for a birthday after her grandparents arrived so she could meet them right away (they arrived on February 17th)!

Welcome Adeline Dorothy

These are the newbie pictures of Adeline, taken within the first 30 minutes after she was born.  She joined us at 10:40 AM, weighing 7 # 6 ounces, and stretching out to 22 inches long.  It was a pretty short labor, with us going into the hospital at 7:30AM, and only taking 40 minutes to deliver her
(compared to over 2 hours with Emma) :)

Happy Valentines Day

Still no baby...now 6 days past her official due date.   This is mama's last day of work before baby arrives.  A little shot of Emma next to the baby belly...for size comparison!
