Huckleberry Pickin'

It's that time of year again, and we had a fun outing to Mt. Adams for huckleberry picking with our friends Jon and Jon today. Our patch of huckleberries came with the added benefit of a beautiful waterfall this year. Emma was an avid berry picker at the start, eating the berries as fast as she could pick them. She did enjoy our picnic lunch on the roadside though too. (Lunch included cheese, so there was really no possibility of her not enjoying that as much as the berry picking!)

Calling Leni

Emma has taken a liking to making "pretend calls" to her friends. We caught her calling her friend Leni this last week. She doesn't quite understand that Leni is not actually inside the phone, and can't see her waving "hi". Sorry about the sideway video--I haven't quite figured out how to edit a video yet.

Who needs sand?

Daddy built his little girl a sandbox for our backyard this past weekend. Emma doesn't seem to notice the lack of sand in her sandbox...and was just happy to be outside to enjoy the more moderate weather tonight. Phase two of the sandbox project will include the addition of sand! More to come...
