Concert in the park

Although you may not be able to tell from these photos, Emma did enjoy the outdoor kiddy music concert. Thanks Aunt Stacy for finding all kinds of fun kid things to do during our Minneapolis visit.

Swim time

Haley invited the girls over for a quick swim at her hotel. There was lots of splashing and squealing to be had!

MOA adventures!

Emma had her first experience with amusement park rides at the MOA. Dora the Explorer bus ride-Fun! Rollercoaster ride with daddy--Fabulous! The frog jumper ride--Terrifying! Although Emma was excited to go on this ride, she was a little less excited when it seemed that her lunch might come up on her (which thankfully it did not)! However, it was fun to see Ken and Nathan sqeeze their way into the toddler size seats!

Farm life if F-U-N!

Emma had a blast exploring the farm at Grandma and Grandpa's house. She enjoyed her trips to visit the piggy barn, playing on the sand/gravel mound, exploring the corn fields (crops are looking good this year--Emma high before the 4th of July!), and of course her favorite part...playing with Grandma and Grandpa!

Cookies anyone!

Emma and Grandma were busy gals, whipping up some cookies for the family. And boy, they were some tasty cookies too!

Happy birthday Grandma!

Emma couldn't contain herself any longer (this is about the 4th take of the happy birthday song), and just had to try grandma's birthday krispie treat for herself. I was trying to get her to shout a final "HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!" at the end, but it came out as a whisper since she was mimicking me.

Worm hunter

It has been RAINY here lately, and we have been getting pretty sick of sitting inside all the time. So, Emma and I decided to don our rain coats and boots, and head outdoors to find some puddles to splash in. We didn't have to head far, only to the end of our driveway actually, and we found a small little puddle with a surprise in it. Look closely on Emma's finger, and you'll she the baby worm she found swimming in the puddle. She was a little timid at first, but then wanted to hold and pet the worm herself. Hopefully we won't run across any slugs anytime soon...I'm not sure I can stomach picking one of those up!

Gymnasts/Yogi's in the making

Cash and Emma (and most other toddlers out there, I imagine), love to showcase their flexibility super powers as often as they can. Cash and Emma both had their favorite moves to show each other: Cash striking a frequent 3 legged dog pose (or the 2 leg/one head/no hands pose that he shows us in the video), and Emma with her somersaulting magic. It all looked like so much fun, and made me wish I could bend like that again (without breaking bones, or pulling some crucial muscle groups in the process, of course).

Toddler date night

Emma enjoyed her (supervised) date with Cash on Saturday. The two went for a leisurely stroll on their his and her bikes, and then graciously posed for a picture next to their chalk drawings. Actually, we wrote both their names on the sidewalk, and when I asked them to sit next to their names, they both sat right on top of their name, and instantly put on their best "CHEEEEESE" faces! I guess they are used to the parental paparazzi by now.
