The boots are (or were) back

We have been having a string of rainy days this week, but Emma being the native Oregonian she is, enjoys going out in the wet weather. I decided it was reasonable to bring her froggy rain boots out of hiding, as there were multiple puddles just calling Emma's name. We had made the sanity saving decision to hide her boots a few weeks back, after spending much to much time reapplying socks and boots throughout the day. Emma enjoys going barefoot whenever possible, (in the car, in the grocery store, daycare), and the boots were just much too easy for her to remove. (And after today's workout with the boot application/reapplication routine, they WILL be going back into hiding again!)

Finger lickin' good!

Okay...so maybe not the healthiest meal ever...but we all have to give into the KFC craving every so often. This is Emma's first experience with fried chicken...I think she approves!

Birthday Boy Cash!

Emma's longtime pal, Cash, celebrated his 2nd birthday with a rockstar party. Cash was a very gracious host, and Emma sure enjoyed the 1:1 time she got with the birthday boy while they re-fueled with a little lunch. Happy Birthday Cash!

Nighttime woes

Emma has been having a bit of a love/hate relationship with bedtime lately. Okay... if truth be told, it is actually just a hate relationship, AND it has been going on for quite some time. This is a couple of hours into the "bedtime routine", so Emma is just slightly overtired. I decided to take a commemorative photo of the event instead of going to my own bed to cry it out!

My colors

Emma has been embracing her artistic side as of late. She was trying to choose just the right colors, and just the right picture to send to her cousin Haley for her birthday this month.

Sick day

Emma was sent home from school with a fever today. She was looking pretty miserable, but only wanted to sit on the couch, watch TV, and sleep. At dinner time, I called downstairs to see if she wanted any applesauce...to which she replied a meak "No".
"Yogurt?"
Another mumbling of "No".
"Crackers?"
To which she mustered up all her energy for an excited "Yes!"
Apparently crackers are the cure for Emma. She certainly is milking her diet of crackers and O's this week. Hopefully we will be able to wean her from this diet without too much distress for our little one.

New haircut

It's been awhile since a bath time photo...and her last haircut. It appears we are slowly morphing the mullet into a bowl. Oh dear!
